Hún fjallar einnig um vernd haf- og strandsvæða sem og náttúruvá og útivist. Stefna um skipulag á haf- og strandsvæðum nær til haf- og strandsvæða út að ytri mörkum efnahagslögsögunnar.<\/SPAN><\/P>

Í landsskipulagsstefnu er tekin ákvörðun um á hvaða svæðum skuli vinna strandsvæðisskipulag og hafa forgang þau strandsvæði þar sem brýnt þykir að samþætta ólíka nýtingu og verndarsjónarmið.<\/SPAN><\/P>
